Autumn is, I think, the closest to a 'real' Supergirl.
Not just because of the costume. I think it's the eyes.
In the comics, the blonde-haired, blue-eyed ideal is a caricature.
And when someone tries to fulfill that ideal by putting on a costume, well,
it looks like they're putting on a costume. There's a certain unreality to it.
Probably because the ideal itself is such a caricature.
But Autumn, with those dark soulful eyes, she looks like someone who could
just as easily go toe-to-toe with Darkseid as well as Mr. Mxyzptlk,
someone who's seen the horrors of war and the wonders of flight.
